Are there any other Claritys registered?

Our event is in Orchard Park, NY (near Buffalo) tomorrow from 9-1. So far, of the 28 registrants, I have the only Clarity which is too bad. My husband is a "car guy" and we have gone to many boring car shows to walk around and look at the muscle cars. This one is all about me!

I don't have a Clarity, but I will be at our local show in Steilacoom, Wa. Ours is one of the larger ones with 121 vehicles, 32 models, including 2 Honda Claritys.

 

My husband has signed up for one in Boulder (I’ll be in Boise for work). 16 sign ups and he’ll have the only Clarity.

Lexington event is at The Summit, at the corner of Nicholasville Rd and Man o War in Good Foods Co-op parking lot
Three Level 2 chargers available there.

I work on campus but don’t charge here so I don’t know if this selection reflects the use of EV in the school population. This area of NY was home to the development and testing of the GM EV-1. Used to see them in the area years ago.

I am registered for the one in Worcester, MA tomorrow afternoon; the only Clarity out of 16 cars so far. Looking forward to the open house of the wind turbine on the site. Ice cream too!

 

Very nice. As big as a Camry, as efficient as a Prius. Something like that. Clarity and Prius have the same engine thermal efficiency and likely same inverter/motor efficiency. I think it was about up to 94% for the Clarity.

Hey, why not?! Signed up for Old Saybrook, CT event next Saturday, September 15th. I don’t see any free ice cream or water bottles... maybe they’ll hand out lumps of coal, Charlie Brown! I’m the only Clarity so far. Thirteen mystery models, oh my.

Does anyone know what to expect at these events? Do you stay with your car the whole day? What do you do and what do you take?
I am near enough to Destin, FL, but am not sure whether or not to go. It's still pretty hot down here to be standing in the sun all day.

 

In Los Angeles, we just went and visited all the booths. Got information on some new cars, entered some raffles, got free lunch. Talked to others who had questions about the Clarity. Only stayed for 2 hours and left when it got too hot. Low key and casual.

 

Bring a chair. Be ready to answer questions about your Clarity to the hopefully large number of interested people. But also feel free to walk around and talk to other EV owners and see the sights. Ours had a solar project car from the Univ if KY, electric bikes to test pedal, a Honda dealer for test drives, one of the city’s 6 electric buses, and 4 solar power vendors so there was a lot to take in besides just standing by your car.
I learned a lot and got to see all the Tesla’s, and several other EVs including a Fisker Karma Hybrid. Man, that car stole the show for looks! Made Teslas look like Old Russian Ladas. Had over 30 people stop and ask questions about the Clarity and no one other than a Volt owner knew what a plug-in hybrid was!
