    But shouldn't you do the coating before the film? I don't think you want to coat the film......

    Actually the coating is always after the film. Coating makes the car hydrophobic and resitant to abrasion. Covering ceramic coating with PPF means you lose those qualities of ceramic coating. That's why it is applied after PPF
