Couldn't find anything on the bluelink app..

  3. It kicks in any time you're driving or charging and somewhere around 95 degrees Fahrenheit. We have currently 115F here in Vegas and it is basically on all the time while driving, and most of the time while charging, even when charging on level 1.
While driving it uses about 0.6kW.

I noticed the car's fans come on when I was charging on my way back home from Maryland. Other than that, I can't remember the fan ever coming on..

  5. At least (according to the active TMS thead) minimum current is drawn due to it's efficient cooling system, but without the pack (or OBC) temp gauge it is comforting to know it is actually working

There is a history. Its buried in the menu.

Also, the US version of Bluelink is garbage and afaik it doesnt send you ANY information on your monthly usage vs the international options.

    SOC full_20190620.jpg
I have seen on the GOM: 100% SOC 509km [316miles], 21C; 90% SOC 468km [290miles], 26C. Highway driving at 120km/74miles speed,I've had 3 adults in the Kona EV,with AC on,and the range impact was nominal,~20km/12miles lost at most. The real range test will be in the winter where temperatures can easily hit -20C / -4F.

I'm still well on track to hit over 300 miles starting at 93% charge.. If I can maintain 5.9 miles/kwh (that is about 10.5 kwh per 100km), I'll get well over 300 miles per charge.. On a full charge I could even get 350 miles on one charge.. This morning on my commute, I got 6.1 mi/kwh.. The number shown is the accumulated info since the last charge..

  10. Looks like you should make that with room to spare( at least 20%) consuming 105 W/km

Planning on breaking 300 miles today.. I'm at 253.3 miles right now with 96 miles range remaining.. Planning a 52 mile trip starting 3:30 when I finish working.. Should be somewhere between 305 and 315 miles when I connect to the charger. If I would have started at 100% instead of 93%, I would have about 130 miles of range remaining.. 28% charge remaining right now..

Thank you very much for the super helpful information. I’m printing it out and saving it as a reference for my next trip into Vancouver!

  17. Here's my GoM from this morning after charging overnight from about 40% SOC. This is the highest I've yet seen it.

Mine showed 348 after my last 2 charges.. Screenshot_20190713-082954_MyHyundai.jpg

  19. Nice. Mine would probably go higher than 327 if I wasn't such a lead foot.

Do you a lot of A/C ? How does it keep up with your 90 F type temps? Any sign of action from TMS ?

My TMS kicked in today for the first time while driving and it stayed on for about 7 minutes. Pulled 0.56 kw. As for A/C, I minimize A/C use to maximize range. Only if my family is with me in the car, A/C is on full blast..
I even started a thread about TMS coming on.

  22. I mostly use the Kona EV for my commute each day from Fallbrook to Carlsbad and back, about 17 miles each way. No need for A/C in the morning. The past few weeks it's been in the 80s here in the afternoon on several occasions, though it doesn't get that hot in Carlsbad. I sometimes run the A/C for the last third of my drive home but, just as often, I open the windows and the sunroof and that's good enough. Our hottest weather is still a month or two away.

I don't think the TMS has come on yet. How can you tell, does it give some kind of announcement on the screen?

Edit: OK I just saw the screen shot in the Battery Care thread. I still haven't plumbed all of the depths of technology and data available with this vehicle. I'm still just having a lot of fun zipping in and out of traffic. Very impressive after three years of driving a Fusion Energi.
