We purchased it - it is functional, but fits imperfectly, sagging around the front camera cutout. It is also awkward to put up and store, particularly if you have passengers in the back seat. (The white lines are reflections of the flagpole, we haven't scratched it up that badly yet...) 20180704_094559.jpg

    Also, Weathertech now has
Thanks for the photo. I agree it doesn't look like it fits very well.....too wide and saggy. Oddly bad for their usual quality/fit. But, all of the interior shields are awkward to install and store, even the ones that fold.

Maybe second link should have been this (or similar for just one)?

Does the key fob really need a protector? I've never thought of that before. The silicone looks like a lint magnet though.

We have the WeatherTech sunshade for our Accord and it fits perfectly. I've been wanting to get full vehicle sunshade kit for some time but they didn't have it for older Accords. It looks like they have it for the Clarity though. Was wondering if anyone got the full kit and how it fits?

Also has anyone found seat protectors that don't interfere with the side airbag?

I guess it doesn't really need a protector but I didn't want to scratch up the shiny blue back. The case does collect some lint but the silicone is smooth and lint rubs off easily. Overall not bad for the price.

I found a great one than quickly and easily goes on and off either front seat and doesn’t slide around when you get in or out. It’s elasticized at top around head rest area and you just skip it over either front seat for the occasional muddy soccer player, etc. It’s cordura nylon on the top and waterproof, non slide rubber on the bottom. It also states that it doesn’t not interfere with seat airbags on the side of the seat. I like it so much I’m ordering a second one.
It’s a seat Defender by Aries. It’s $28 on Amazon:
    https://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=aries+seat+defender&index=aps&tag=hydsma-20&ref=pd_sl_5byceynbfs_e&adgrpid=61770840131&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvadid=274715442929&hvpos=1t1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=6295804302296559711&hvqmt=e&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9014273&hvtargid=kwd-303484432276

BTW, like that fob protecter, it covers the chrome top part that my freebie one doesn’t. I’m currently using a freebie Lexus leather fob protector that does cover the whole fob.

I am curious about the rationale for fob protectors. I think of them the same way I do the front bumper covers that used to be popular on cars. You put on something that (subjectively) looks worse than the unprotected fob, in order to keep the fob from getting scratched. At that point does it really matter if the shiny blue back of the fob is scratched or not since you are never going to see it again? Are you trying to keep it undamaged for the second owner whenever you sell the car?

lol I didn't think that deep.... like when I got married and had kids. I automatically try to protect any gadgets I get (phones, etc), and guess I got an itch to scratch after getting a new car!

It did two things for us. 1) protected the fob from the daily grind of keys/coins/drops etc. Our old fobs were pretty beat-up after a decade of daily use. 2) it was an easy visual differentiator to as to which fob belongs to which car. We got the thin TPU type that is lint-free and smooth. For a few bucks it was worthwhile for us.

We have a Pilot to go with the Clarity, and although the shape of the fobs is pretty much identical, it is never an issue since I almost never take the keys out of my pocket anymore.

Found this on amazon.. real snug fit and good quality. I got black for fob 1 and brown for fob 2 so I don’t mix em up since one is programmed with my settings and the other for my wife

Hey Insightman, where do I find backup sensors? That is exactly the only thing I am missing from my old mazda6 I just traded in for my new Clarity!

The backup sensors are a Clarity option our Honda dealer installed. Some on this forum have performed their own installation, but it requires drilling holes in the rear bumper, which is not a task for the faint-hearted. Here's what the kit looks like: https://tinyurl.com/y7h3nz7m

We paid more than triple the discounted $186 price of the kit to have them installed by our dealer before we took delivery.

The parking sensors really helped me squeeze into a tight parking space yesterday. I normally wouldn't park our Clarity in a tight parking space because I always worry about the skill of the adjacent cars' drivers, but I was parking there for less than a minute.

Did anyone get the interior illumination and the door sill trim installed?
I asked for a quote for parts and labor at the dealer and the prices were crazy expensive. I can sort of see why, per the installation instructions it seems like it's a very involved process. For what it's worth, I'm attaching the accessories list and prices (parts and labor) that my dealer provided in case anyone is curious.

We had the door-sill trim installed (lighted "CLARITY" on front sills only). I enjoy what I see as a classy addition when it's dark enough to see the lighted name. Each door-sill plate is intended to prevent unsightly chips and scratches in the paint on the door sill, but now I take care to avoid touching the plate with my foot to prevent possibly scratching the plate! I must be doing a good job because it doesn't show any scratches yet.

We also got the expensive back-up sensors and the accessory wheels (I put our snow tires on the less-attractive OEM wheels). Didn't perceive any value to the interior illumination accessory, so didn't get that. The Honda rubber mats are good enough for us--they were the only rubber mats available when we took deliver of our Clarity in December, 2017. The tiny rubber mat for the trunk is perfect for catching the snow and salt dripping off the wheels of my dad's walker. A full-sized mat would be nicer, but Honda would probably charge hundreds of dollars for it. There are good, inexpensive trunk-mat alternatives people on this forum have found.

Here's a 3rd-party website with some interesting Clarity accessories, including a full-trunk mat.
