I use my Android phone with Bluetooth most of the time. I have it set up to activate Android Auto on the phone automatically, so I don't have to deal with too many interruptions while driving, and I can keep my phone in my pocket. We haven't used any music streaming apps through the phone, but I occasionally use Audible book narrations if I'm driving alone, and really into a book.

If we are going on an extended drive, and perhaps want to use Navigation, I plug in the phone. I love using Google Navigation with the large Clarity screen - a huge step forward from having to use the phone itself as the display device, and of course, having it plugged in it keeps the phone charged. The only downside I see using it plugged in is that I have a terrible habit of forgetting to take the phone with me when I leave the car.
