I picked up my black touring today. It's a great car and a great color. Thanks all. Tuesday getting it tinted for that all black look. 20180526_172710.jpg

I strongly recommend paying a little more and getting the ceramic IR/heat rejecting film and applying the non tinted version on the windshield. It made a surprising reduction in how hot the car gets which reduced a/c demand for a little more range and a lot more comfort. Check your laws though.

We went with silver. Statistically a light colored car is safer if that's important to you.

Looks good. Door guards add some style.

I'm pleased with black. Mine is the fuel cell version, and to me the white and the burgundy both looked too busy given that the roof is black regardless of body color.

Please don't tint your front door windows so dark that others can't see you. As both a motorist and a cyclist, it's an important part of driving to know that the other driver has seen you, and if I can't see your eyes I have no way to tell!

That would be illegal in my state, and I would hope all states.

Amazing how many driver's windows I encounter here in California that I can't see anything through, even though it is illegal here. I once confronted the driver of a US Govt car with blacked out windows and he responded I needn't worry, he could see me just fine. He really didn't get it, or is an incurable narcissist. He can see me, but I don't know that, because I can't see him! It should be illegal for shops to apply such dark tint. Once it's on the car, it's gonna be a long time before law enforcement catches it.

I guess I should mention that the guy who did my windows told me what the legal limit was but was willing to go darker if I wanted. I said legal limit is fine, thanks.

I went with the black Touring model and limo tinted the windows and I couldn’t be happier. I considered silver as my second option and I think they look great but in my opinion black is the best. Adjustments.JPG Adjustments.JPG

I have the black and I get many compliments on my Clarity. Black always looks elegant IMHO.

  16. I've been loving my black spaceship, and it seems like I've seen quite a few more of them on the road lately. Other than the dark green, the black ones seem to be more rare, but I did see 3 others today so I don't know.

Most people don't realize my Moonlit Forest Pearl Clarity PHEV is NOT black. That's because it's rarely sunny in Michigan.

Black looks great as long as its pristine clean, just keep in mind any amount of road grime really shows.

I typically don't have road grime here in California. I always garage or cover my black Clarity and yes I do have to visit the car wash once, twice and up to three times a week. Spending more on washes than gas but I love this car!!

It's Gov't. It doesn't matter if you can't see them, only if they can see you...

I admit that black looks classier but... One of my previous cars was a black Ford Focus. Five years in operation, rear ended twice, the third final blow on the side and front by a crazy guy on a pickup (poor little blackie got totaled). Next car a white Mazda6, five years, zero hits. Then I got the silver Clarity, one year so far, zero hits, fingers crossed. So yes, the statistics seem to be significant. (disclaimer: I am not including minor scratches by idiots on parking lots that can't measure distances. This seems not related to color).

I live in Georgia. During the summers, I really appreciate having a white vehicle. Black looks great, but I appreciate a cooler vehicle in the summer.

I, too, think Clarity is most handsome in black - but I live in southern Mississippi. I'm very happy with the Titanium White Pearl - it's a really beautiful version of white - but I wish a dove gray interior had been available. The beige is fine but it's, well, beige...
