2021 Mini Cooper SE Electric First Drive Alex on Autos is many people's favorite automobile reviewer. I'm one of his fans. Although he incorrectly labels this video as the 2021 Mini Cooper SE First Drive (it's neither), he does a nice walk-around, describing the car's various features (including the hood scoop, but he doesn't complain about its impropriety on an electric car as I wish he would have). Most importantly, the well-respected Alex explains that the MINI Cooper SE has a purpose other than challenging Tesla and other long-range BEVs. There are so many range-ragers who cannot understand that there's a place for a lightweight, agile, compact, medium-range BEV such as the MINI Cooper SE. I say "medium range" because there are quite a few BEVs (Fiat 500e, Honda Clarity Electric, and early BMW i3 and Nissan Leaf models) that offer less range than the MINI. TFLcar also has posted a video review of the MINI Cooper SE from the LA Auto Show. The two TFLcar staffers make fun of the bogus hood scoop--a great review!
