May I ask what dealer? What was your negotiated price before fees and taxes? I’m also in CT and looking at the Clarity.
I'm in the US midwest, so no state incentives. Mine was $32,319.25 + tax, so 34,645 out the door. Base trim.
We got the Clarity PHEV Touring model for $34,000.00 + tax and registration at South Bay Honda in Milpitas, CA. Flor was our salesman, and he was great.
Paid $37,400 out-the-door for a green touring at a corporate-owned dealership. This is in Orange County, California.
$33,231 out the door for the base-model with no extras in So Cal. Thanks to @Wall-e, I contacted Nima Nazir (Nnazir(at)socalpenske(dot)com) who was able to give me a price under $30k. She was super easy to work with, and the best internet rep of the LA area dealers I contacted, but located in Ontario, CA, which was not that close. When I went in for a test drive at my local dealer (Culver City Honda) they were able to give me the same out the door which meant a lower price due to local taxes, so I bought from them for convenience & "support your local business" reasons. The nice salesman who helped me (not an internet rep) was Ash Pradhan. PS, I asked and they were both ok with me sharing their names.
Hi Everyone. I'm new to the forum Was interested in buying a Clarity Touring in the Bay Area. Was wondering if any one on this forum is from the Bay Area and what would be a fair OTD price for one. Thank you
Hello Everyone, I just became the proud and super excited owner of a Clarity Touring in Gray this past Sunday. I live in Southern California and got my car at Long Beach Honda. I got an incredibly good deal that even the "biggest dealer" (Norm Reeves) would not give me. No add ons at financing. Totally smooth and friendly process. In and out in 2 hours. It all seemed very straightforward and honest. My sales person was Manny Villalobos and the financing guy was Alan Burns. I am thrilled about how much I paid and all the perks that will come along in SoCal. (I got one of the best pricest I have seen throughout this thread, not the lowest, but definitely lower than most).
Been lurking here for a couple of weeks. This forum and community was very helpful in my decision making process. I had paid a deposit towards a prius prime, and thankfully came across this forum and that helped me switch my decision. We picked up our clarity last week. First Honda for me, and I am impressed. We are in GA. Not too many people seem to be buying hybrids here Anyway, bought my touring from Willett Honda south. Very pleasant experience. They had the best price in the area, and I checked with at least 7-8 dealers. No one could match their price. Best thing was that their price was upfront and non-negotiable. $34,499 plus tax
We got the Touring model for $34K (including destination charge) from South Bay Honda in Milpitas. I think you should start from $33k and work your way up. Our salesman was Florante Espejo.
I just paid $32,700 for the base model in Everett, WA. I think that's about $1500 below MSRP. I was offered $2,200 below MSRP by another dealership. However, they made the offer without realizing they already sold their base models! The State of Washington has a sales tax exemption on EV's until the end May, so I expect sales to be brisk in WA until the end of the month.
Hello, I paid $34,000 out the door including 7 years of maintenance, alarm and security system, high-rise floor mats set and paint protection. Godspeed.
Thank you for your response. I've talked to 6 dealerships already and they think i'm crazy telling them that some people on this thread was able to be at $33-35K OTD. Looks like i won't be buying one anytime soon.
