  1. Have you tried “Find My Car” followed by “Update Location”? The seems to sometimes work.

Not sure about the new update (I have since rolled back to the old version), but I had to change the language on my Android Nexus 5 to "English (Australia)" to get the app to show in KM's. I first tried English (UK), but lost the $ symbol on my keyboard and my phone started talking in a British accent.

It’s be nice if we could adjust the climate control temperature through the app, instead of just turn on or off. Oh, and how about the climate control not turn off right when opening the driver door (I realize that’s not the apps doing, but it’s just plain stupid).

Yes. A display inside the car to show what temperature it is inside, too.

We used to send directions to the car’s nav from the app since the in-car nav is terrible for trying to find names of locations. It seems that now you need to be in the car to do that. Prior to this update we were able to send it to the car no matter where we were.

The climate control feature has never worked for me, not even once. I'm surprised people have quibbles about it other that it doesn't work at all.

I just did it from inside my house the other day. I did have to wait a few minutes after starting up the car for it to appear which is annoying.

Yes, for me the remote climate control works but I have to wait 2-5 minutes for it to take hold. Probably failed to work once out of about 10 times using it; but you need to give it time, and it has to be in a location where it can get a signal. But I haven't attempted it since the app update.

Have you tried both the key fob and the app? Do you know you have to lock the car with the key fob before you can use the key fob to start the climate-control preconditioning? That has never failed for me. The app fails to connect for me once in a while, but you don't need to lock the car to start preconditioning with the app. However, know that preconditioning won't start unless it's cold enough or hot enough for it to make a difference.

Base or touring? It *is* advertised only on the touring, after all...

Ken, I noticed the same thing. I agree Garmin's search engine is quite poor. So I do attempt to send destinations to the car from the app. With the previous app I had marginal success sending destinations to the car. It appeared to be using the cell network. But now it demands using Bluetooth which means I have to be within 30 feet of the car. Basically it's useless now.

Works fine with my base model from the app.

BB0972A2-DACE-43B4-BD29-F6B9D2EDD7A8.png The percentage calculation had better be inaccurate because if I have 5 miles of range at a 25% charge I am not going to be happy! :)

There was a reference in the update process to remote lock/unlock but I don't see that function in the updated app. There's also a facility to send locations from calendar events that I haven't played with yet.

After reading this post I tried the Locate My Car and Update Location trick with no luck (electric charge was still missing). I then logged out and back in to the app and I have the electric charge status now. Thanks for the suggestions, this forum is my only source of Clarity info- the salesperson was rather baffled when I bought the car, so I’ve been on my own for some time.

Steve, as far as I can see the Android App description does not include the Clarity in the lock unlock feature. It does say battery charge monitoring and control is now included for the Clarity PHEV. I couldn't find the unlock lock feature in the app.

Does anyone know the actual process of how the Turn on Climate Control command actually gets to the car using the app?

It is nice seeing the battery percentage in the app once again... even if it's not accurate.
