I just saw on the College Hills Honda site (no affiliation, just noticed the name has been posted by others) that there is a center console insert. There is no description, so my question - is it rubberized or otherwise less slick to keep items from sliding around in there?

My phone has a hard exterior and when I store it in the under-wings area of the console it tends to slide around. I'm looking for recommendations on what to put in there to make it grip (don't bother recommending phone cases, please).

It is more rubber than the center console insert, but stuff will still slip on it. The nice thing is that it is removable if you want to cut a rubber surface to lay into it. There have also been posts here with exact measurements and rubber surface alternatives that you can buy and cut and just avoid buying the center console insert altogether.

  4. I bought some black rubber mesh shelf liner at Home Depot and cut it to shape.

No photo, but looks OK and does seem to help.

  5. I bought the mat. It’s less slippery than without the mat but not as grippy as you’d maybe like. I got it more out of concern that my phone was going to scuff up the console’s lower level.

Instead of overpaying for the little rubber mat under the center console, I purchased a yoga mat at Walmart for $5.99. The mat is nicer looking than the OEM and much cheaper. So I cut to size and used the rest for the trunk mat. So basically for $5.99 I got two mats for the car. I will post pics when I get a chance.
