I have noticed my IT screen does not dim when I turn on the lights. I see there is a brightness control but don't want to adjust it each time the environment changes. Am I missing something?
    Thx

There are 2 brightness modes, 1 for daytime and 1 for nighttime. Each mode remembers the brightness setting.

One more question: Is there a way to get night brightness mode to engage automatically when you turn on the lights?

Here's the info from the Owners Manual:

Thanks for reply insightman, but that portion on the manual seems to refer to instrument panel not infotainment screen unless they are both controlled that way.

I believe the infotainment screen brightness is tied to the brightness of the instrument panel, but I'll admit I haven't gone out to the garage to verify that belief. I didn't find a separate setting in the Owners Manual.

I just tried. Unfortunately they are not connected. I am gobsmacked that a technological marvel such as the clarity requires the driver to manually dim the IT screen when it gets dark!!! Thanks insightman for trying to help...

Mine dims automatically when it gets dark.

Mine changes when I pull into and out of the garage.

Mine is still not changing automatically perhaps there is a setting I am unaware of.

Yes, from my experience the screen and dash are coupled, which I find slightly annoying. I like a rather dim dash at night (lowest setting), but that makes the infotainment screen unreadably dark.
