The Ontario government is very clear on the rebate for people who ordered before March 9 and take delivery by September 7th ($14k). Orders after or delivery after are at $13k for the Clarity. http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/vehicles/electric/electric-vehicle-rebate.shtml The only thing unclear is for those that ordered on March 9 but prior to the 1pm announcement of the change. So You are indicating " ORDER AFTER MARCH 9" means even though delivery comes late ,and if they do change rebate value in mean time we will still be eligible for 13K Rebate correct ?
If you place order after March 9, doesn’t matter when car delivers, you get $13k (as of now). In June after the election, who knows what new government will do. But to minimize potential legal issues, I would expect that if they stop the rebate they will create a future cut off date rather than saying previous orders no longer qualify. I have read the form and It is clear that they are referring to " Order Date " rather than Delivery date" , so Guys , we all will sure get 13K rebate even though government changes any policy now, irrespective of delivery date.

Too bad you guys up north can't cross the border and buy one from US. There seems to be plenty around here since the gov incentives aren't as high.
I'm not so sure... Conservatives can come in and not honour any of it. Will they? That's a different question. Just because the current rule is that previous purchases are honoured under the old guidelines doesn't mean that all of it can't be scrapped.
I placed an order for a Clarity on April 13th (I'm in Ottawa, ON). The dealer hasn't confirmed it yet, but their current estimate is about ten weeks - longer than I would like, but I'm sure the old car can hold out at least that long.
I ordered mine on March 8 (also in Ottawa) and dealer still has no clue when it will arrive. Keeps saying I need to be patient with the Clairty. At first he said it would be a few weeks. Now he says a few months. I wish Honda had some clarity regarding ETAs! Which Ottawa dealer did you order yours from Numbernine?
I ordered mine from Civic Motors. The salesperson said he would try to get a more accurate estimate sometime this week - assuming they do, I'll let you know!
Who did you deal with at civic motors? That's where I got mine. Bought the floor model. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Inside EVs mobile app
Did you also order from Newmarket Honda? I checked out the sold grey touring model before I also ordered the same. My salesperson said it should take max two monthes with grey touring models coming in faster than other models.
If ontario rebates applied I would cross the border to a nearby border state like Buffalo instantly. Ugh we Canadians also don't get black as a colour option in any of Clarity trims. I had to settle with grey.
Is there any way to know what is the TOTAL numbers of Clarity in back order at province level or Canada level ?
Ontario rebates do apply to any new unregistered vehicles, even ones imported from the US. The only two issues you would have is 1) If US dealer is willing to sell to us Canadians and 2) warranty will not be honoured by Honda on both sides of the border. Not worth the risk in my opinion.
